The damaged T2 tanker Newhall Hills collided with another vessel off the Goodwin Sands in May 1947. Her bow was blown off by a following explosion. 27-1-1954 Monte Urquola broadside on to London Bridge after touching the ground when leaving New Fresh Wharf.  It took the combined efforts of Tanga, Java, Kenia, Crested Cock, Sunbird, Sunfish and Sun V to tow her clear.
