All unknown
-2016 Thorunn Green in Iceland is
asking if anyone out there can name any of these guys or even hazard a
guess as to which vessel the pic was taken on. She thinks there may be a
possibility that the guy second left in the white shirt may be her
father, Harry Green. Any thoughts, however vague you may think, would be
appreciated.
18-02-2017 - re c247 The man second
left is my uncle Fred. No notation on photo, but from his age and the
fact that all personnel look roughly same age it was probably taken at
end of war or late 40's. Kevin Haydon.

Captain Arthur Edwin Lowe
22-6-2020 I’ve managed to track down George Lowe’s last surviving daughter , Patricia Swanson, now in her 90s, lives in Poole Dorset, showed her the mystery photo, with no clues, and straightaway the said that’s her uncle Arthur Edwin Lowe, born 1902, died 1954 , elder brother of George Lowe, skipper of the Muria, died as you know on the bridge, favourite pastime on board, lower the lifeboat, row out into the middle of the river, and read a book!

hand between 1961 - 1963 at that time he was Skipper of the Simla,

17-1-2019 Just been back on the site and picture number c226 shows my old man Reg Merchant on the right. Think it would have been about 1947 on-board the SUN XVI going by the fact he has a beret on. He is still with us and will be 92 at the end of March. Regards Peter Merchant.
